About Märt — driving transformation in education

Märt Aro is an education innovation leader focused on building the systems and infrastructure that enable better access to education globally.

His journey in education began during his secondary school years, organising national-level initiatives for students — an early signal of his long-standing commitment to improving how education works.

Since 2004, Märt has founded and led multiple organisations and companies in the field of education development, working at the intersection of policy, technology, and internationalisation.

He is the co-founder of DreamApply, a global student application management platform used by over 300 universities across more than 40 countries, supporting millions of youth each year.

Märt has contributed to shaping education and innovation agendas through collaboration with organisations such as the United Nations and the European Union, and is serving on the advisory boards of EdTech Estonia and D4D Hub.

His work today focuses on advancing scalable, digital-first solutions that improve access, quality, and international cooperation in advancing education.
